Founder and Executive Director of

CRASHBOX'S MISSION: 

Crashbox Theatre Company is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Easton, MD. We are dedicated to the production of quality theatre, the continuing education of performing arts for youth, teens and adults, and to provide beneficial opportunities in the performing arts, 

THE FORMATION OF CRASHBOX:  

In 2012, I saw the need for more performing arts opportunities for students in the community—not just the ones that I worked with in the school program. To meet this need, I formed a non-profit theatre group for youth and teens called Crashbox Theatre. Crashbox focuses on theatre opportunities for the youth in our community. By having a community theatre organization that gives quality experiences, I can reach so many more individuals than just those who I work with in the schools.  To this day, we have reached learners from different schools, different counties, and even different states that have benefited and expanded their experiences in the arts.

My Goals for Crashbox:

​

  • Provide volunteers for performing arts events

  • Bring in Professional artists such as William Berloni, Kevin Massey, Lara Hayhurst, Brian Michael Hoffman, and Elizabeth Broadhurst to work with performers.

  • Arrange trips to New York City, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Orlando to experience Professional Theatre for workshops, materclasses, and performances

  • Provide Theatre Camps for students entering 3rd Grade through College Level

  • Mentor Student Directed One Act Plays

  • Direct Full Length productions 

  • Partner with community groups such as Talbot Humane, Talbot Interfaith Shelter, For All Seasons, Talbot Mentors, Movement to Remember, First Night Talbot, etc. to be an active participant in the community

  • Provide special performance experiences such as our performance at Walt Disney World in June 2018

  • Formed a Crashbox Troupe to provide advanced enrichment opportunities for individuals who have shown their dedication and skills in performing
